Aluminum
CoxMHP has vast experience in aluminum manufacturing from design to finished product. As a remarkable product for its low density and its ability to resist corrosion due to passivation, aluminum is a key component of metal projects we do. Vital to the aerospace industry, as well as, transportation and structural projects, we utilize this tool in a lot of ways.
The oxides and sulfates are the most useful compounds of aluminum, being relatively soft, durable, lightweight, ductile, and malleable metal. It doesn’t easily ignite and is nonmagnetic. Being easily cast, we can transform this material into many products readily available.
Aluminium forms strong chemical bonds with oxygen. Compared to most other metals, it is difficult to extract from ore, such as bauxite, due to the high reactivity of aluminium and the high melting point of most of its ores. For example, direct reduction with carbon is used to produce iron and is not chemically possible because aluminium is a stronger reducing agent than carbon.
Aluminum tooling is used in many industries:
- Transportation
- Aerospace
- Production
- Electronics
- Construction
CoxMHP has the experience in using these materials to produce really great projects and dies for our clients. We’re continuing our commitment to our clients by looking for new ways to design the best services possible within the realm of these materials and others.
